What do you do when you’re Medicaid pending and may not get approved or have lengthy penalties, but you have no one to take care of you at home and are basically bed bound?

If you get denied, can they kick you out if you’re bed bound with no one to take care of you at home?

The safety of the elder comes first, so what happens is APS would get involved. The elder is not going to placed in an unsafe environment. APS would ensure elder is placed in safe environment. As far as Medicaid being denied because of transfer of funds or misuse of funds, it is possible the person on the receiving end of those funds will be sued, or in a worse case scenario where theft occurred, criminal charges may be filed. But the NH cannot just send the elder to the curb, they will be released to a safe environment and APS would likely be contacted.

I think the penalties are waved under certain conditions. Like the person has no family or income. They have to discharge you to a safe place. You may want to call APS (Adult Protection Services) and run ur problem by them.
